“Forever Loved, Never Forgotten”

The Navy Gold Star Program is eternally grateful for the sacrifice of those Service Members who have died in service to our country. To help us to never forget, we have set up this tribute page to honor and remember the memory of those lives. If you would like to honor the memory of your Sailor, Soldier, Marine, Airman or Coast Guardsman through the Navy Gold Star website please submit your thoughts and a photo.

Philip A. Bordeaux was born in Durham, NC, where he attended the Durham School of the Arts before joining the Navy in 2009. Growing up, Philip loved all sports, especially golf, and was a fan of the UNC Tarheels and the Carolina Panthers. He loved shooting, riding go-karts and enjoyed following NASCAR. Aside from a distaste of glitter, Philip loved life and everything about it, says his mother, Cathy. “He found joy in serving others,” she said. “We have learned of so many people that Philip was there for them, helped them or made a difference in their life.” He is remembered by his parents, Gregg and Cathy Bordeaux, his brothers, Chris and Michael Bordeaux, his sister-in-law, Stefanie Bordeaux, and now a new nephew, Evan Philip Bordeaux.
