Lt.J.G. Asante McCalla was a proud Morehouse College graduate, Naval officer, and devoted son. A brilliant young leader with a quiet strength and a heart for justice, he worked to elevate the NROTC program at Morehouse College and inspired his peers with unwavering determination and kindness. Asante served with distinction aboard the USS Lake Erie. Though we still await answers about his mysterious disappearance at sea, we hold fast to the legacy of the young man who loved deeply, led with integrity, and lived to uplift others. His impact continues through the stories we tell, the lives he touched, and the honor he brought to our family and community. We are forever proud of our son—our hero.
